As a multi-cultural Parisian, convinced that this city is the best place to visit and to live in, I also love to poke affectionate fun at the somewhat self-proclaimed self-hype of our lifestyle. My storytelling is therefore laced with a fair amount of irony. Why do I love guiding? Père Lachaise cemetery tour
I will take you to my absolute favorite monument, the père Lachaise cemetery. I have been coming here since I am 15. Like most of its 3 million a year’ visitors, that first visit was dedicated to Jim Morisson’s famous grave. But this cemetery is so much more than that, no wonder so many celebrities have chosen their final resting place here. Let me take you through its gorgeous alleys to uncover the historical, cultural, architectural, religious, societal, romantic and haunted secrets that lay beneath the graves. I guide but I also work as a cook. I love nothing more than to combine both hats so I can share my passion for Paris and its unique history of gastronomy through what I hope will be an unforgettable food and culture tour for you. On the menu, a fascinating walk through the père lachaise cemetery, followed by a sweet and savoury food and wine tasting or tea time (sweet and hot drinks) at a local venue including treats from the best artisans of the capital.
